CROWLEY - Starting today, people will be able to visit to view information from the Crowley Police Department. Information available includes arrest reports, safety tips, sex offender addresses, drug awareness information, employment information and much more. Citizens can even anonymously report crimes they witness on the website. When visiting with Crowley Chief of Police K.P. Gibson Tuesday, it was apparent he was quite excited the new site which was designed by local computer programmer Lynn Askin.

“We are very excited about getting this to the public,” said Gibson. “Our goal is to provide people with information and to provide support for our community.”

Gibson stressed that he wants to encourage the public to visit the site often and to offer any tips on ways to improve the site.

“Obviously, this is new for us as well and we are looking forward to getting feedback from our citizens,” he said.

One application that may interest Crowley’s citizens is a map of the city that provides the addresses of sex offenders and the location of where different crimes occur in the city. That application is still being worked on but should be completed soon.
