Crowley Police execute three warrants; arrest two
CROWLEY - Armed with three narcotics search warrants, members of the Crowley Police Department Narcotics unit and the Special Response Team (SRT) executed the search warrants Monday evening.
“Our agents secured these search warrants after investigating illegal narcotics activity from the different residences. Last night each warrant was served and arrests were made at all three locations,” said Crowley Chief of Police KP Gibson.
The first warrant was served at 926 Hargrave St. During the search, agents recovered 427 hydrocodone pills, two ounces of marijuana and $983 in United States currency.
“The street value of the hydrocodone pills is valued at $21,000,” said Gibson.
Arrested was Marcus Lee, 34, of Crowley. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for PWITD hydrocodone, PWITD marijuana and monies derived from drug proceeds.
The second warrant was executed at 420 East Cedar St. During the search of the residence, agents recovered 7.8 ounces of marijuana. Arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail was Phillip Godeaux, 42, Crowley. Godeaux was charged with PWITD marijuana.
The third search warrant was executed at 100 Constantine Dr. Agents seized a small amount of marijuana. Arrested was Anthony Keith Williams, 33, Crowley. Williams was cited and released as his charge was a misdemeanor offense.
“Our efforts to fight the illegal drug industry will continue. We know that there is a lot of drug activity in our community and we will do our best to fight this problem,” said Gibson.
