Damien Tyler 'P-Nut' Jolivette
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009, in Our Mother of Mercy Shrine, with Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J., officiating, for Damien Tyler “P-Nut” Jolivette, 26, who died on Wednesday, October 14, 2009
Damien, known to all his family and friends as “P-Nut”, was born on Nov. 30, 1982, in Lafayette to Helen “Marie” Jolivette and the late Wilfred Gallantine.
He attended RayneHigh School and received his diploma from Park View Baptiste High School in Baton Rouge.
After receiving his diploma, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2001 and served until 2004. After completing his military duty, Jolivette returned to Rayne.
He leaves to mourn his memory his mother, Helen “Marie” Jolivette; brothers, Brian Jolivette, Sr., of Rayne, Alfred and Anthony Gallantine, both of Houston, Texas; sisters, Bernadette Nelson, Jessie Barbara, Sandra Pete, Theresa Smith, Sandra Elaine Young, and La Tasha Veno, all of Houston, Texas; a very close niece and nephew who adored him, Krystalyn Jolivette and
Brian Jolivette, Jr.; godparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many close friends.
P-Nut was proceeded in death by his father, Wilfred Gallantine,; and grandparents, Corrine and Douglas Jolivette, Sr., and Lena Jones and Peter Gallantine.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Jolivette, Sr., Josh Reed, Norbert Reed III, Jeremy Daigle, Troy Daigle, Jr., Jabbar Floyd, Anthony Gallantine, Tyrone Floyd, Marcus Jolivette, Jarvy Jolivette, Peter Jolivette, Douglas Jollivette, Jr., Clifton Gallantine and Alfred Gallantine.
The Jolivette family expressed sincere thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers and ask for continued prayers to endure both physically and spiritually.
P-Nut will always be remembered for his vibrant personality and his smile which would light up a room.
