Deborah L. Nowaczyk Savoie
Deborah L. Nowaczyk Savoie, Ph.D., MBA, passed away quietly August 21, 2009, after a brief illness.
Debi was born June 9, 1956, to Shirley and Floyd Nowaczyk in
Elmira, New York.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Maurice Savoie, of Montgomery, Texas; her parents, Shirley and Floyd Nowaczyk, of Houston, Texas; her sister, Karen Walsh and her husband Jim; brothers, Jeff Nowaczyk and Alan Nowaczyk and his wife Lori; nephews, Lee Ehlert and Steven Walsh; nieces, Kristi Huber and her husband Max, Lindsey, and Ashley Nowaczyk; was great-aunt to Audree; brother-in-law, Mike (Mona) Savoie and Sam Savoie, all of Rayne; sister-in-law, Patty (Billy) Guidry of Rayne; step-children, Scott Savoie, of Houston, Texas, and Shawn Mllett of Lafayette; nieces and nephews, Marisa (Travis) Tolbert, of Lafayette, Jaron and Derek Guidry, of Rayne, Renee’ (Nick) Chauffe of Breaux Bridge, and great-nephew, Jackson Tolbert of Lafayette.
Debi received her B.A. from Florida University; her Master's degree from University of Houston; her Ph.D. from Baylor College; and her MBA from Sam Houston State.
She was employed by Mattison Jack of St. Louis, Missouri, and worked from her home in Montgomery, Texas.
Viewing was at Crowder Funeral Home, Webster, Texas, on Monday, August 24, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Graveside service were Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
