Debris to be picked up soon

James Berthelot, Solid Waste, reminds residents limbs and branches will be picked up at their homes along with twigs and leaves. Branches and limbs should be put at the curb.

Leaves and twigs should be put into trash bags or in containers. He said pickup should begin today, and they will be making at least two passes at each house.

Berthelot said all debris from the hurricane will be picked up. If you have white goods, as in the past, please call his office for pick-up services.

“Please get it out as soon as possible,” Berthelot said. He said readers should see their ad for Evangeline Parish Solid Waste in today’s paper for more information.

Berthelot said they will start with municipalities today, September 11, and then follow up in the rural areas.
