Debs presented during Ebonite Tea, Ball planned

In anticipation of this weekend’s ball and presentation, the Ebonite Civic and Social Club of Rayne, Inc., hosted the 2010 Annual Debutante Tea on Sunday, April 25, at the Civic Center Mural Room.

Welcomed during the tea was last year’s queen, Jasmine Cook.

The 2010 Debutantes are LaPagedrea Broussard, Jazzmin Evans, Marsharee Mayfield, Jamie Price, Kanysha Roberts and Leslie Threatts.

Refreshments were served to all in attendance for the tea, including the Debs and their guests.

Throughout the year, the young ladies have been involved in a number of activities and social events that promote unity, sisterhood and spiritual growth among their attributes by the Ebonites Civic and Social Club.

The culmination of their year together is this weekend’s annual Debutante Ball where the 2010 Debutante Queen will be crowned by the outgoing royalty.

The program begins at 8 p.m. at the Rayne Civic Center, with doors scheduled to close at the start of the event. The public is invited to attend.
