Diane Short Faulk
Crowley - A Memorial service will be held Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Diane Short Faulk, 62, who died quite unexpectedly at her residence in Crowley on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
Rev. Dale Hensarling, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting Monday from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Diane will be remembered as a loving Christian lady who enjoyed her church activities, dancing with the “Swinging Sixties” group, helping at Miss Helen’s Soup Kitchen and adoring her dog, “Trouble.”
Born on September 6, 1946, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Colonel and Mrs. Thompson Short.
Diane is survived by three sisters, Pharaby Branscome of Crowley, Sandra Core of Crowley, Sara Bertrand of Lafayette; two nieces, Maurie Pearl and Sandy Duhe’; four nephews, Tom Pearl, Keith and Brad Core, and Michael Bertrand; cousins, Teddy Jean Greenwald, Lowell Starns, Colleen Deckard, Karen Ferguson, and Barbara Schneider; aunt, Dot Robbins along with several grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn who died shortly after birth.
The family requests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church, 321 East 3rd Street, Crowley in Diane’s memory.
