Dinah Istre honored with Bumblebee shower
The First Baptist Church in Crowley was the setting for a baby shower held in honor of Dinah Istre, the former
Dinah Hebert of Mermentau on Saturday, October 4 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Hosting the Bumblebee themed shower were Holly Cart, Chelsea LaCombe, Sharon Mott, Brittany Kidder, Lilah Bertrand, Kristy Fuselier and Morgan Istre.
For her special day of honor, the honoree chose a black and white floral printed dress, which was accented with a corsage of pearl yellow roses adorned with baby items. The maternal grandmother-to-be was attired in a black and white floral top with black slacks and a corsage that matched that of the honoree. The paternal grandmother-to-be chose a black and white top with black slacks for the occasion and was also presented with a matching corsage.
The Bumblebee theme was complete with a yellow accented tote backdrop. Guests were treated to assorted finger foods, and along with punch and enjoyed a special baby cake made by one of the hostesses, Chelsea LaCombe.
A total of 55 guests were present to honor Mrs. Istre, from areas such as Bossier City, Gueydan, Abbeville, Iota, Breaux Bridge and Lafayette.
Maternal grandparents-to-be are Stanley Hebert of Iowa and Donna and Alex Bertrand of Crowley, while paternal grandparents are Kenneth and Becky Istre of Mermentau.
Mrs. Istre and her husband, Clayton, expect the arrival of this their first child, on December 5, 2008.
