Dorr, Smith engagement announced

Hollie Alyse Dorr and Josh Joseph Smith, both of Crowley, will unite in holy matrimony at 7 p.m. on

November 7, 2008. The ceremony will be held at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Church Point with Monsignor Harrington officiating.

The future bride is the daughter of Michael Dorr of Lafayette and Marlene and Randy Thibodeaux of Crowley. Her maternal grandparents are Rose and Vernon Gobert of Crowley, and her paternal grandparents include Emery and Ethel Thibodeaux of Midland.

Hollie is a 2004 graduate of Natchitoches Central High School and a 2006 graduate of Louisiana Technical College Crowley Campus, having earned a degree in Accounting Technology. She is employed by Louisiana Rice Mill.

The groom-elect is the son of Sherman and Sharon Smith of Crowley and the grandson of NewJay and Betty Richard and Sherman and Deanna Smith of Crowley.

Josh is a 2002 graduate of Crowley High School. He is employed by Grey Wolf Drilling.

Following the exchanging of their wedding vows the couple will reside in Crowley.
