Dr. Levy to lead state ag program
Dr. Ron Levy, adminstrator of the LSU AgCenter in Acadia Parish, will assume new duties as director of the LSU Extension’s programs on corn, soybeans and grain sorghum at the Dean Lee Research and Extension Center in Alexandria, effective on Monday, Sept. 15.
Levy, who holds a doctorate in agronomy from Louisiana State University, will be stationed in Alexandria, but will travel the entire state. He earned the doctorate in 2004.
A native of Washington Parish, Levy has served as administrator of the Acadia Parish AgCenter since 1992.
Lavy began his career with the Cooperative Extension Service in 1979 in Calasieu Parish. He transferred to the Acadia Parish office in 1986.
Levy reported that he and his family will continue to live in Crowley.
