DU Cajun Chapter Sponsor Banquet a big success
CROWLEY – The Cajun Chapter of Ducks Unlimited recently held their annual Sponsor Banquet at the LSU Ag Center in Crowley.
Sponsors and their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner of beef filets, corn maque choux, salad and dessert.
The live and silent auctions exceeded expectations in money raised for wildlife conservation and coastal restoration. The gun of the year was purchased by Ricky LeBlanc and the print of the year was purchased by Mike Goss.
The Cajun Chapter is gearing up now for the General Membership Banquet to be held Wednesday October 5 at the Rice Festival Building.
Activities will begin at 6 p.m. with a social followed by the dinner and live and silent auctions. Raffle packets will be sold for tables filled with hunting gear and will include free decoys. A Taurus Judge pistol will also be raffled.
Also, the Louisiana Wildlife Agents Association will be giving away a lifetime hunting license to a lucky 14-year old or younger Greenwing. The drawing will be held at the banquet and you must be present to win. The raffle is free.
The LWAA will arrange for a fishing license to be added for an additional fee.
Admission to the General Membership Banquet is $65 per person, $85 per couple and includes a membership in Ducks Unlimited. Corporate Tables are available at a cost of $650 and include one sponsorship and seven guests at the banquet.
