Duos receives doctorate
Arlene A. Duos received her doctorate of education in curriculum and instruction August 9, 2008, from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Dr. Duos is a 1982 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She received her bachelor of science degree in business education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and her master of education degree in administration and supervision from Northwestern State University. Dr. Duos was a business teacher at Alexandria Senior High School for 14 years and general cooperative education coordinator for six years. She now serves as programs coordinator and faculty member in the education department at Louisiana State University at Alexandria.
Dr. Duos is married to Mitch Duos, pharmacist at I.V. Plus in Alexandria and is also a 1982 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. They have two sons, Brock, a senior at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, and Brad, a junior at Alexandria Senior High School. She is the daughter of Wilton and Betty Andrepont of Ville Platte.
