Easter Hippity-Hop Hunt details
The City of Rayne will host the annual Easter “Hippity-Hop Hunt” on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Rayne Fairgrounds beginning at 11:00 am according to Cultural Director Cheryl McCarty.
There will be egg hunts categorized by the following age groups: under 3 years of age; 3-4 years old; 5-6 years old; 7-9 years old; 10-12 years old and an area for special needs children with prizes awarded for finding the golden egg.
Those children interested in the Egg Decorating contest should have their eggs decorated prior to the event and prizes will be awarded in two age categories (0-6 years of age and 7-12 years of age) in the following categories: Prettiest; Most Original and Frogs.
Those children interested in the Easter Basket Decorating contest should have their baskets decorated prior to the event and prizes will be awarded in two age categories (0-6 years of age and 7-12 years of age) in the following categories: Prettiest, Most Original, and Frogs.
Fun contests and races being planned are the Easter Egg Toss, the Egg Spoon Race and the Hippity Hop Sack race. Participants will need to bring their own baskets for the hunt.
