Emily Frances Burleigh and Trey Mitchell Lemoine exchange wedding vows

CROWLEY - Emily Frances Burleigh of Lafayette and Trey Mitchell Lemoine of Lafayette were united in holy matrimony during an early evening ceremony on Saturday, March 9. Father Jared Suire officiated the nuptials at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley.

The bride is the daughter of Julie and Francis Burleigh of Crowley.

She is the granddaughter of Roselyn Genre of Hammond and the late Raymond Genre, and Tesie and Francis Burleigh of Church Point.

Emily attended Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2010 and is presently employed as a pharmaceutical sales specialist with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

The groom is the son of Karen and Howard “Duke” Lemoine of St. Amant.

His maternal grandparents are Viola and Edward Gebhardt of Metairie. His paternal grandparents are the late Frankie and Howard Lemoine of Plaucheville.

Trey is a graduate of Ponchatoula High School, as well as a 2010 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is currently pursuing an engineering degree.

Julie was escorted to the alter by her father.

The bride’s sister, Elizabeth Burleigh, served as maid of honor. Also attending her were Corrie Perilloux and Erin Lemoine, sisters of the groom; Anna Dartez, Jardin Hebert, Erica Miller and Aimee Stark, all friends of the bride; and Olivia Fauk, cousin of the bride. The attendants wore floor-length gowns in blush chiffon.

Averie Perilloux, niece of the groom, and Tesie Burleigh, cousin of the bride, served as flower girls.

Brett Martin, friend of the groom, stood as best man. Luke Burleigh, brother of the bride; Derek Perilloux, brother-in-law of the groom; and Josh Settoon, Brett Settoon, Gabe Giffin, Casey Benson and Eric Jones, friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.

Scripture readings were provided by Morgan Seale, Ellen Burleigh, Ambur Perrodin and Alexis Sarver.

Lauren and Emma Haneman, cousins of the bride, presented offertory gifts.

Following the ceremony, the couple’s marriage was celebrated with a reunion at The Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley.

After a wedding trip across California, Emily and Trey are residing in Lafayette.
