Enough, already! Snow expected again

A storm system waltzing across Texas this morning is expected to bring snow to the Crowley area before sunrise Wednesday.

The snowfall will be third in the the area this winter, marking the first time in weather records the area has received snow three times in a winter.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will mix with snow across the area by early tonight, changing over to all snow by midnight, ending around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Accumulations of 1 to 1.5 inches can be expected on elevated surfaces from US 190 north, with less than inch building on such surfaces to the south of US 190.

Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing through the night so no significant road problems are anticipated.
