Ernest “T-Bruce” Broussard
CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ernest “T-Bruce” Broussard, 85, who died December 29, 2011 at the Heart Hospital in Lafayette.
Deacon Rodless Leleux will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be held in LeBlanc Cemetery.
Mr. Broussard was a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 38 years of service.
He is survived by three daughters, Joy Foreman of Crowley, Kimberly Broussard and her companion, Glenn Thibodeaux, of Crowley and Jody Vanover and her husband, Jim, of Lake Charles; one son Ronald Broussard of New Orleans; eight grandchildren, Casey Foreman, Ryan Foreman, Jada Mosa, Shawn LeBlanc, Matthew LeBlanc, Eric Broussard and Troy Broussard; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Brook and Cameron Foreman; one brother, Winston “Snook” Broussard of Jennings; and his former wife, Leola Broussard of Crowley.
Mr. Broussard is preceded in death by his parents, Adonise and Olite “Pauline” Schexnayder Broussard; one sister, Juanita Caillouet; and one brother, Joseph Lee “Red” Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Casey Foreman, Ryan Foreman, Matthew LeBlanc, Shawn LeBlanc, Glenn Thibodeaux and Jim Vanover.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Southwest Louisiana War Veteran Home in Jennings, Heart Hospital of Lafayette and Dr. James Dobbs for their exceptional care and service.
