Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office lists 14 arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 14 bookings in the parish jail from December 10, through December 16.

Arrested were the following:

•Rickey John Bertrand Jr., 27, 304 East St., Mamou, was charged December 10, with stop sign violation, disturbing the peace in a violent and tumultuous manner, disturbing the peace by intoxication, aggravated flight from an officer, simple battery, resisting an officer, criminal damage to property, battery on an officer and domestic abuse battery. At press time, Bertrand remained incarcerated on a $50,000 bond.

•Austin Healy Brecken, 19, 1224 Rock Pit Road, Ville Platte, was charged December 10, with simple battery and criminal trespassing. At press time, Brecken remained incarcerated on a $5,000 bond.

•Casey Pierre Balfa, 27, 908 South St., Mamou, was charged December 12, with criminal damage to property and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. At press time, Balfa remained incarcerated on a $10,000 bond.

•Jason Shillow, 48, 1506 Jamie St., Mamou, was charged December 12, with distribution of cocaine. At press time, Shillow remained incarcerated on a $25,000 bond.

•Vonnie Marie Spriggins, 27, 410 West Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged December 12, with monetary instrument abuse. Spriggins was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Chelsey Rochelle Manuel, 17, 1107 Main St., Elton, was charged December 12, with aggravated arson/terrorizing, criminal trespassing and public intimidation. Manuel was released on a $20,000 bond.

•Nicholas Chet Andrepont, 26, 333 Highway 29, Eunice, was charged December 13, with careless operation, no seat belt, failure to report an accident, no liability insurance, expired MVI sticker, open container and outstanding bench warrant. At press time, Andrepont remained incarcerated on a $3,216.50 bond.

•David Leslie Sonnier, 61, 1275 Dossman Lake Road, St. Landry, was charged December 14, with issuing worthless checks (37 counts). Sonnier was released on a $6,225 bond.

•Kristina Hartzfield, 28, 209 Rainbow Drive, Ville Platte, was charged December 14, with resisting an officer and battery on an officer. Hartzfield was released on a $5,000 bond.

•William Joseph Fontenot, 37, 116 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged December 15, with aggravated assault/aggravated battery, resisting an officer, simple battery, public intimidation and domestic abuse battery. At press time, Fontenot remained incarcerated on a $50,000 bond.

•Travis V. Allison, 29, 2580 Reevon St., Mamou, was charged December 15, with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of Schedule III narcotics and simple escape. At press time, Allison remained incarcerated on a $35,000 bond.

•Billy Allen Mayer, 40, 1704 Holly St., Pine Prairie, was charged December 15, with disturbing the peace and criminal damage to property. Mayer was released on a $2,000 bond.

•Shameka Rene Durgin, 28, 6640 Pine Point Road, Ville Platte, was charged December 16, with insurance fraud and issuing a worthless check. Durgin was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Mark Jerry Deshotels, 52, 903 Pecan St., Mamou, was charged December 16, with domestic abuse battery (two counts) and disturbing the peace. Deshotels was released on a $5,000 bond.
