Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office lists 20 arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 20 bookings in the parish jail from November 12, through November 18.

Arrested were the following:

•Robert Paul Vidrine, 18, 1120 Cora Lane, Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with careless operation, failure to report an accident, hit and run, no registration, failure to change address and no proof of insurance. Vidrine was released on a $736 bond.

•Chad Edward Gautreaux, 38, 1177 Dossman Lake Road, Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with aggravated flight from an officer, driving under suspension, distribution of Schedule II drugs, speeding (over 100 mph) and cruelty to juveniles. Gautreaux was released on a $20,000 bond.

•Matthew Deville, 17, 1210 Elm St., Pine Prairie, was charged November 12, with theft, simple burglary and theft of a firearm. Bond was set at $25,000.

•Dana Barber Faul, 34, 615 E. Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with driving under suspension and speeding (57 in a 45 mph zone). Faul was released on a $526.50 bond.

•Beverly Fontenot, 37, 209 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged November 12, with issuing worthless checks (13 counts). Fontenot was released on a $2,850 bond.

•Tevis Sally, 25, 715 Coreil St., Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute liquid codeine. Sally was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Keith Wayne Doucet, 25, 6596 Pine Point Road, Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Bond was set at $250,000.

•James Elwood Miller Jr., 43, 514 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Miller was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Ranisha Debrona Richard, 25, 806 Tate Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged November 12, with interfering with the custody of a child. Richard was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Benny Terrell Bradley, 31, 222 Elijah St., Opelousas, was charged November 13, with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and flight from an officer. Bradley was released on a $25,000 bond.

•Valerie Anne Tweedel, 50, 601 Chestnut St., Mamou, was charged November 13, with theft of a Schedule II drug (xanax), introducing contraband into a jail and possession of xanax and Ambien. Bond was set at $25,000.

•Dodie Paulina Ortego, 30, 1112 Pine St., Turkey Creek, was charged November 13, with switched license plate, expired license, no insurance and no registration. Ortego was released on a $641 bond.

•Michael John Bamburg, 40, 1909 Wilba Vizenat Loop, Mamou, was charged November 14, with issuing a worthless check. Bamburg was released on a $150 bond.

•Mary Chrie Richard, 34, 264 Shuff Road, Apt. 1, Ville Platte, was charged November 16, with invalid driver’s license and vehicle entering highway from the wrong side. Richard was released on a $266.50 bond.

•Robert Lee Hayden, 27, 1112 Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged November 17, with possession of stolen goods (three guns). Bond was set at $5,000.

•Ellis Guillory Jr., 23, 119 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged November 17, with aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon. Guillory was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Robert Wayne Smith, 43, 15548 Highway 190 East, Opelousas, was charged November 18, with assault with a dangerous weapon and illegal use of a firearm. Smith was released on a $100,000 bond.

•Dion Desmond Gaskey, 28, 2817 Savoy St., Basile, was charged November 18, with domestic abuse battery. Gaskey was released on a $5,000 bond.

•Crystal Renee Edmundson, 34, 1008 Main St., Mamou, was charged November 18, with aggravated battery and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.

•Hilton Joseph Sampey, 22, 113 Swedish Drive, Lafayette, was charged November 18, with introducing contraband into a jail (two counts). No bond had been set at press time.
