Former LeDoux Library director dies

ASHLAND, KY – Dr. Sue Potter Forrest, 69, former director of the LSU at Eunice library, died on Tuesday, October 22, 2008 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was 69.

She is survived by two sons, Dan Forrest of Bowling Green, KY and Don Forrest of Rineyville, KY. There will be no services. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Dr. Forrest served as director of the LeDoux Library at LSUE for 12 years.

She was a member of the Louisiana Library Association, member of Directors of Colleges and University Libraries Group, and gave presentations to the Eunice Rotary, Kiwanis, served on the Eunice Centennial Committee as well as various LSUE committees, and was involved in the Cajun Prairie Wildflower Preservation Society to name just a few of her activities while living and working in Eunice.

She loved to “quilt’’ and wrote many plays which were performed in the LeDoux Library.
