Free ASL Hunter Awareness Day
Come join the fun Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Police Firing Range in Crowley as the Acadiana Sportsmen’s League will host the 2008 Annual Hunter Awareness Day, free of charge.
Bring your friends between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as activities will be provided for youths up to 15 years of age.
A B-B gun shooting contest will be held for kids 15 years and under in three age groups.
Learn archery from the Bayou State Bow Hunters Association as participants will shoot at 3-D targets.
Learn about the D.A.R.E. Program “Just Say No.”
Visit with the Acadian Ambulance Service and see what it’s like inside an ambulance.
Learn safe hunting skills, safe shooting skills, and respect for wildlife and the environment.
Free skeet shooting for all. Adults are invited to shoot along with the kids. All skeet, sheels and guns will be provided at no charge. (You may bring your own shotgun)
Free food and beverages with hundreds of dollars in prizes and shirts will be given away during the free event.
