From the time he put on a Ville Platte High basketball jersey, Jovan Freeman began making an impact for the Bulldogs. He was one of the offensive leaders his sophomore, junior and senior years. He was a vital key to the Bulldogs making it to the Top 28 tournament in back-to-back years. After making All-Parish, All-District and All-State teams, Freeman found himself nominated for one of the top teams in the country.
The McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball team is one of the most prestigious in the country. People such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony have played on this team and it all begins with a nomination.
Freeman was honored by friends, family and the McDonald’s organization with a certificate. He was commended by McDonald’s regional manager E.J. Krampe for his achievement.
