CROWLEY - The Grand Opera House was filled with beauty and glamour Saturday night as it served as the venue for the 2015 Miss, Teen Miss and Junior Miss Crowley Pageants.
With the sale of a surplus parcel of land in the works, Acadia Parish School Board member Gene Daigle said he wants to see the $90,500 put to good use. “I want us to do something special with this,” he said as he formally proposed the idea to the Budget/Finance Committee this week that the funds be allocated to teacher supplies.
It’s still very much in flux. That was the message Acadia Parish executive director of personnel and operations Ellan Kay Baggett delivered to the Personnel/Insurance/Curriculum Committee regarding the new state student privacy law Wednesday night.
