Frugé, Breaux married in afternoon ceremony
GUEYDAN - Chelse Michelle Frugé and Bobby Eddie Breaux, both of Crowley, became husband and wife on October 23, 2010 at 3 p.m.
The two were united in a Justice of the Peace ceremony by Mike Chaisson at the Gueydan Civic Center.
Music for the event was provided by Scotty Abshire, also known as D.J. Crak.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Michael P. Frugé.
She wore a satin, A-line gown with a cathedral train. The gown’s waist tapered into an inverted V-empire and the bodice was embroidered with silver bead work.
The gown was accented by her headpiece, a tiara embellished with a dazzling array of Swarovski crystals arranged in mini floral patterns, and her bouquet, 12 white roses wrapped in a sating mermaid ribbon.
Keeping with tradition, the bride’s great grandmother’s rosary was something old and something borrowed, her dress was something new and her garter was something blue.
Serving the bride as maid of honor was her cousin, Candace Vincent, and serving as the junior maid of honor was her sister Skylar Frugé. Joining them in the bridal party were friends of the bride, Holly Clark Racca, Kristi Trahan, Jaci Quebodeaux and Brittney Meaux Abshire, cousin of the bride Lindsey Frugé and godchild of the groom Tori Romero.
The bridal attendants wore floor-length strapless satin ball gowns with pleating on the left. The waist of the dresses were accented with a satin sash that widens as it goes down toward an angled-finished edge.
The groom’s brother, Chad Breaux, served as his best man with his godchild Trevor Breaux as his junior best man. Serving as groomsmen were, Mikey Racca, friend of groom; Troy Romero, brother-in-law of groom; Brent Guillory, uncle of bride; Cody Ashby, cousin of groom; Brett Broussard, friend of groom and Drew Frugé, cousin of the bride.
Casey Ashby, cousin of the groom, and Andy Guillory, cousin of the bride, served as ushers.
Rounding out the wedding party was the bride’s godchild, Jaini Primeaux, who served as flower girl, and the bride’s cousin, Owen Vincent, who served as the ring bearer.
The bride’s mother, Connie S. Guillory Frugé, wore a black knee-length dress for the occasion and Sheryl A. Breaux, the groom’s mother, wore a champagne two-piece pants suit.
Both outfits were accented with a corsage with a single white rose.
The wedding reception was also held at the Gueydan Civic Center.
The bride’s cake was a three-tiered white square cake with strawberry and Bavarian cream filling. Each layer was wrapped with mermaid ribbon.
The groom’s cake was a white cake also with strawberry and Bavarian cream filing that was decorated to look like an LSU ice chest.
For their wedding trip, the couple headed to New Orleans to La Maison Marigny Bed and Breakfast.
After the wedding and wedding trip, the couple plans to reside in Crowley.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held on October 22, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the bride’s house. Guests enjoyed a dinner of jambalaya and black-eye peas.
