Fruge', LaCombe announce engagement
Haylie Anita Fruge’ of Lafayette will become the bride of Grayson John LaCombe of Houston on May 9, during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony in the Cathedral of St. John Evangelist in Lafayette. Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will officiate the ceremony.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Douglas Fruge’, Sr. of Montegut, La. and Anita Fontenot Melancon of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of James and Virginia Fruge’ and Percy Fontenot and the late Elisie Fontenot, all of Ville Platte.
Haylie is a graduate of Vidrine High School and LSUE with an associate degree in radiologic technology. She is currently employed with Opelousas General Health System as a mammography department supervisor.
The groom-to-be is the son of Kenneth and Susan LaCombe of Egan. He is the grandson of Jake and Genevieve Trahan of Egan and Anna Mae LaCombe and the late Albert LaCombe, Jr. of Iota.
Grayson is a graduate of Iota High School and UL of Lafayette with a bachelor degree in accounting. He is currently employed with Null Lairson Certified Public Accountants Professional Corporation in Houston.
After the wedding the couple will reside in Houston.
