Fruge', LaCombe honored at LSU-Themed engagement party
Haylie Anita Fruge’ of Lafayette and Grayson John LaCombe of Houston were honored with a LSU themed, cochon de lait style engagement party on Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. The gathering was held at the home of Mark and Laura Faul of Egan.
The future bride is the daughter of Douglas Fruge’, Sr. of Montegut and Anita Fontenot Melancon of Lafayette.
The groom-elect is the son of Kenneth and Susan LaCombe of Egan.
Hosting the event were Randy and Emma Trahan, Sandy and Terry McFarlain, Ricky and Enola Trahan, Jake and Dennis Trahan, II, Mark and Laura Faul and Ralph and Connie LaCombe.
Guest registered from Crowley, Egan, Iota, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Duson, Baton Rouge, Ville Platte, Carencro, Rayne, Evangeline, Iowa and Broussard. Approximately 75 guest attended and were served brisket, cake and an array of finger foods. The couple’s cake was designed with an “Eye of the tiger” emblem placed in the center.
Special guest were Jake and Genevieve Trahan of Egan.
The couple will marry on May 9, during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony at Cathedral of St. John Evangelist Church in Lafayette.
