Fundraiser to benefit local firefighter

A raffle is being held in honor of Mark Oliver. Mark Oliver is a Captain with Tangipahoa Parish Fire District #1 of Amite. He has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Mark has been with the fire department for the past six years. Now is the time to give back to a firefighter that has given his all to protect the people of TPDF#1.

The Amite Professional Fire Fighters Association, I.A.F.F., Local 4675 is hosting this fundraiser and proceeds will go to Mark and his family to help with medical expenses and other needs.

The drawing will be held Friday, December 19. Tickets are $5 a piece. First prize is a $300 Wal-mart gift card. Second and third prizes are $100 Wal-Mart gift cards. Winner are not required to be present at the time of drawing.
