Garber, LeBlanc united in holy matrimony
The Point-Aux-Loups Springs Ballroom provided a Victorian setting when Ashley Camille Garber and Alan Dale LeBlanc
exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, March 7, 2009 with Reverend Patricia D. Carlberg officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Earl and Janis Garber of Iota. She is the granddaughter of Walter T. and Eula B. Garber and Ruby S. Landry and the late Oran C. Landry, all of Iota.
Ashley is a 2000 graduate of Iota High School and a 2004 graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelor of science in environmental management systems. She is currently employed with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
The groom is the son of John and Ingrid LeBlanc of Welsh. He is the grandson of Earline L. Leblanc and the late Wesley W. LeBlanc of Kinder and the late John and Lucille D. Carlberg of Lake Charles.
Alan is a 1993 graduate of Welsh High School. He also graduated from Sowella Tech at Lake Charles in 1995. He is currently employed with Penske.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory satin gown with pearl beaded lace appliqués and featured a cut-out-lace hem. Musical selections were sung by Sara Farque, niece of the groom.
Maid of honor was Candace Leger and matron of honor was Alyssa Page. Bridesmaid was Erin Garber, cousin of the bride while Claire Guillory served as flower girl.
Standing as best man was Michael Benoit, and groomsmen were Shawn Miguez and Brady Nunex.
Austin Benoit, godchild of the groom served as junior groomsman; and Jaden Page, godchild of the bride; performed the duties of ring bearer.
Ushers were Kirk Garber and Brandon Garber, brothers of the bride; and Chris LeBlanc and Brett Farque, nephews of the groom.
Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Iota.
