Genevieve Grotefend Meaux
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Genevieve T. Grotefend Meaux, 86, who died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009 at 6:20 p.m. at Camelot Place in Crowley.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwen G. Kelley and her husband Charles of Crowley, and Kathy G. Wyatt and her husband Digger of Mansfield, Texas; two sons, David Grotefend and his wife Janet of Crowley, Michael Grotefend and his wife Pam of Rayne; one sister, Rena Sonnier of Crowley; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Faye M. Speyrer and her husband Oscar of Opelousas, Gerry M. Craft and her husband Billy of Woodworth; and one step-son, John Meaux of Pineville.
Mrs. Meaux was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Grotefend; her second husband Elton Meaux; grandson, Eric Grotefend; one brother, Truman Trumps.
