Roberts Cove religious roots highlighted at Germanfest

Archabbot Justin DuVall, center, from the St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana, served as the main celebrant for this year’s Germanfest Mass. While in Roberts Cove, he visited the German Heritage Museum, where curators Josie Thevis, left, and Dot Leger, were on hand to welcome him.

Practice makes perfect for Germanfest

Each of the Roberts Cove Germanfest Singers’ practices begins with “Maria zu lieben,” a singing prayer to the Blessed Mother asking her for help and guidance with their work.

The Roberts Cove Germanfest Singers have been fine-tuning their notes and German pronunciation in preparation for the 20th anniversary celebration
