Gilbert LeJeune

EUNICE- A memorial service for Gilbert LeJeune, 67, a native of Iota and resident of Eunice who died Friday, February 12 at his home, will be held on Thursday, February 18 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Fr, Cedric Sonnier will preside.

Gilbert was born September 21, 1942 to Christoval LeJeune and Ruby Fruge LeJeune.

Gilbert attended Iota High School and served as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps on the USS Wasp at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina until May 24, 1967.

He was employed for a number of years in the Chemical Plants near Freeport, TX.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gilbert, Jr.

He leaves behind his former wife, Linda Jordan and a daughter, Christine LeJeune; one sister, Julia and husband Cliff Richard of Eunice; two brothers, Robert LeJeune of San Antonio, TX and Russell LeJeune of Lake Charles.

The family wishes to thank his caretaker, Agnes Joubert, for her help during his final illness. Gilbert donated his body to science.
