Gladys Terro Scherr
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, in St. Joseph Catholic Chuch, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Gladys Terro Scherr, 85, of Crowley, who died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Southwind Guest Home in Crowley.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 in Rayne.
Visitation was observed Sunday, Nov. 16, frm 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Crowley funeral home chapel.
She leaves to mourn her son, Edward and wife Sylvia of Port Acres, Texas;one daughter, Josephine and husband Rodney Forrestier of Crowley; one brother, Beverly Terro of Branch; one sister, Lena Guidry of Rayne; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Scherr; her parents, Marcelite Richard and Eddie Terro; three brothers, Eris, Edward and Lynn Terro; and one sister, Mildred Terro.
She was an honorary member of the Ladies Altar Society and a choir member at Immaculate Heart of May Catholic Church in Crowley.
She was a native of Rayne and a resident of Crowley.
