Gladys Terro Scherr
CROWLEY – Funeral services for Gladys Terro Scherr, 85, who died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Southwind Assisted Living in Crowley, will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne with Fr. Bill Ruskoski officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
A Rosary will be said on Sunday, November 16 at 7 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Visitation will be observed Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
She leaves to mourn her son, Edward and wife Sylvia Scherr of Port Acres, Texas; one daughter, Josephine and husband Rodney Forrestier of Crowley; one brother, Beverly Terro of Branch; one sister, Lena Guidry of Rayne; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Scherr; her parents, Marcelite Richard and Eddie Terro; three brothers, Eris, Edward and Lynn Terro; and one sister, Mildred Terro.
She is an honorary member of the Ladies Altar Society and a choir member at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley.
She was a native of Rayne and a resident of Crowley.
