Guests tailgate in style for couple's shower
CHURCH POINT - Betrothed couple Caitlin Simone Clayton and Timothy Michael Lafosse were the honorees at a recent “Saints tailgating” couple’s shower held at the Church Point home of the bride-elect’s aunt and uncle, Becky and Jackie Prejean.
The Prejean residence was outfitted for tailgating fun and decorated with all types of black and gold Saints-themed paraphernalia and memorabilia.
Approximately 50 guests attended the evening shower that was held on Saturday, June 29. They enjoyed a meal of jambalaya, Cajun green beans, French bread and homemade New-Orleans-style bread pudding with rum sauce.
In keeping with the theme, the bride-elect wore blue jeans topped with a gray Saints shirt accented with a fleur-de-lis. Her mother chose a black fleur-de-lis shirt paired with Capri-cut jeans, and the mother of the prospective groom selected a black shirt combined with a Saints scarf and blue jeans.
In addition to the Prejeans, the shower was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Greg D’Antoni and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Millet.
Out-of-town guests traveled from a variety of places throughout Louisiana, including Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Gwen and Joey Foreman and Joseph Clayton, all of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Elaine and Norris Simon and the late Lois Simon, and Billie Clayton and the late Roland Clayton, all of Crowley.
The prospective groom is the son of Julie and Tim Lafosse of Crowley. His maternal grandparents are Pamela Goff of Crowley and Carolyn and Larry Goff of Morrilton, Ark. His paternal grandparents are Patricia and Charles Lafosse of Crowley.
Caitlin and Timothy will be wed on Saturday, August 3, during a 5:30 p.m. nuptial ceremony at Point-aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota. Reverend Randy Trahan will officiate.
