Guidry bridal shower held at Maison Daboval
The beautiful Maison Daboval Bed and Breakfast in Rayne served as the perfect setting for a bridal shower honoring Jennifer Lee Guidry, bride-elect of David Ward Scheufens of Crowley, on Saturday, June 27, 2009.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandra Guidry and Kenneth Guidry of Crowley.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Scheufens, also of Crowley.
Hosting the social was Jessica Habetz, Mackenzie Habetz, Kristi Miller, Traci Simon, Connie Nutt, Kristi Faulk, Billie Schexnyder, Renee Harmon, Susie Guillot, Gwyn Cormier and Kay Burgin.
On her special day, the honoree was lovely attired in a black and white linen sheath dress. She was presented with a summer bouquet of yellow and white daisies.
The bed and breakfast held a magnificent decor of photographs featuring the future bride and groom and their family members placed throughout the home.
Approximately 25 guests attended and enjoyed an array of appetizers and a delicious red velvet cake enveloped in cream cheese icing. The confection was adorned with bridal-style scrolls, seed pearls and topped with the future bride and groom’s initials.
Honored as special guest was Lou Cormier, grandmother of the bride-elect.
The couple will be united in holy matrimony during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Sunny Meade in Scott. Reverend Jimmy Broussard will officiate the exchanging of their vows.
