Harold John (Bud) Richard
CROWLEY – Funeral services for Harold John “Bud” Richard of Morse, 59, who died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at American Legion Hospital in Jennings, will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Officiating the services will be Deacon Thomas Richard and Deacon Joe Richard.
A Rosary took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will take place at Suire Cemetery in Vermilion Parish.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 and continued until 10 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 with viewing until time of services.
He is survived by his wife, Danielle Richard of Morse; one son, Levin Richard of Morse; two daughters, Hagan Richard of Morse and Roxy Richard of Morse; his mother, Lillia Richard of Crowley; seven brothers, Deacon Joe Richard of Bartlesville, Okla.; Earl Richard of Crowley, Donald Richard of Crowley, Wayne Richard of Bella Vista, Ark., Deacon Thomas Richard of Eunice, Maxie Richard of Crowley and Richard Richard of Crowley; and three sisters, Georgie Beckert of Palatka, Fla., Lou Anna DaRose of Claremore, Okla., and Mona Whitworth of Hazel Green, Ala.
Mr. Richard is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Noah Richard.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Green Berets during the Vietnam Era, and retired as an office manager after 25 years with the DMV.
