Hebert and Ward united in Abbeville ceremony
Jessica Lynn Hebert and John Bradley Ward were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Abbeville. Rev. Warren Langford was the presiding minister.
The bride is the daughter of Robert D. Hebert of Lafayette and Patricia B. Hebert of Woodlawn Community. Her paternal grandparents are the late Minos and Mathilde Hebert of Erath and maternal grandparents are Louis Theo and Wilda Bares of Woodlawn Community. Jessica graduated from Erath High School and UL Lafayette where she received a bachelor’s degree in education. She is currently employed by the Vermilion Parish School Board as an elementary teacher.
The groom is the son of William and Hollie Ward of Humphrey, New York. His paternal grandparents are William and Joann Ward of Jamestown, New York, and maternal grandparents are Lorraine Danos of Brusly and Dr. James Blackburn of Lafayette. John graduated from King’s Academy of New York and UL Lafayette where he received a bachelors degree in accounting. He is currently employed by Kolder, Champagne, Slaven and Company, LLC.
For the afternoon wedding, the bride wore a one-piece gown made of diamond white satin featuring off-the-shoulder straps and a bodice of rouched satin, accented with a lace waistline. The dress opened to a flowing A-line skirt with a corset back encloser. She wore a simple two-tiered veil with satin-corded trim.
Anna Libersat, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Andrea Irwin, Valerie Dartez, Michelle Harper, and Moriah Istre, friends of the bride.
Ryan Ward, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Lee Ward and Ethan Ward, brothers of the groom, Dan Rettig and Ryan Bourque, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Gabriel Ward, brother of the groom.
Ushers were David Hebert and Matthew Hebert, brothers of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jude Gaspard and Neil Simon. Readings were given by Brenda Hebert, aunt of the bride.
A reception honoring the couple was held at the Erath Community Building.
The couple will reside in Lafayette.
