Gents place second at District 4-4A cross country meet

CROWLEY – The Crowley Gents claimed runnersup honors at the District 4-4A cross country meet at Crowley High School on Wednesday.
Kirk Poullard placed second overall for the Gents after finishing the course in a time of 18:20. Teammate Leighton Killmer was fifth (19:02).
Beau Chene won the boys’ portion of the meet behind the first- and third-place finish of brothers Reese (18:01)and David Smith (18:22). Evan Godeaux placed fourth for the Gators.
On the girls’ side, Crowley’s Amber Vincent finished fourth in a time of 23:08.
Beau Chene also won the girls’ title with Bailee Oliver placing first. Jeanie LaCombe was second followed by April Stelly in third and Rubi Hernandez in fifth.
