Wolves collect wins during Hanson Tournament

FRANKLIN - The Rayne High Wolves kept their slate clear with another undefeated tournament over the weekend as they participated in the Hanson Memorial Baseball Tournament.
The Wolves recorded their first of three wins over Houma Christian, 15-1.
Ty Delahoussaye collected the win on the mound for the Wolves recording 7 strikeouts and one walk.
At the plate, Delahoussaye, Devin Savoy, Matt Dore and Brice Meche were 2-for-2 on the day.
The Wolves recorded a 6-2 win over Patterson High in their second win of the tournament.
Jaylen Reed picked up the Rayne win throwing 3 strikeouts in 4 innings. Tyler LeJeune finished up the win in the final 3 innings with 3 strikeouts of his own.
The five hits recorded by Rayne batters were Delahoussaye, Grant Abshire, TJ Bearb, Gannon Quebodeaux and LeJeune.
In their third and final win of the tournament, Rayne recorded a 9-6 score over Delcambre High.
Trailing 5-4 heading into the final innings, the Wolves battled back at the plate to record the come from behind win on 10 hits.
Grant Menard led Rayne stats going 2-for-4 scoring two runs on the day. TJ Bearb and Tyler LeJeune also scored two runs while going 1-for-2 at the plate.
Also collecting hits were Hunter Keely, Ty Delahoussaye, Matt Dore, Gannon Quebodeaux and Ivy Thibodeaux.
Hunter Keely threw the first three innings for the Wolves, with Kameron Falcon on the mound for the final four to collect the win.
The Wolves were slated to take on Acadiana High on Tuesday, followed by their participation in the Archbishop Hannan Baseball Tournament this weekend in Meraux.
Rayne will begin their district slate on Tuesday, March 18, when they host Washington-Marion during a 6 p.m. contest at Gossen Memorial Park.
