Hildegarde 'Hilda' Heinen
RAYNE – Funeral services will be held at St. Leo IV Catholic Church, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. for Hildegarde “Hilda” Maria Heinen, 80, who died Saturday, April 11, 2009 in Southwind Nursing & Rehab Center of Crowley.
Interment will be in the St. Leo Cemetery in Roberts Cove.
Surviving are one sister, Josie Millet and husband Malcolm of Crowley; sister-in-law, Louise L. Heinen, of Vinton; brother-in-law, Benno Leonards and wife Margaret of Gulfport, MS; seventeen nieces and nephews, and forty great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Christian Heinen and Christine Naebers Heinen; three brothers, infant Joseph Heinen, Charles Heinen, Sr. and wife Lenora, and Lawrence Heinen; three sisters, Geraldine Heard and husband Thomas, Arilda Leonards, and Annie Gautreaux and husband Patrick; one nephew, Charles Heinen, Jr.; and one great nephew, Mac Lawrence Millet.
She was born Saturday, December 8, 1928 in Rayne, the daughter of the late William Christian Heinen and the late Christine Naebers Heinen.
She was a member of St. Leo Ladies Altar Society in Roberts Cove
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009.
Friends were received Monday, April 13, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., and visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 8 a.m. until time of services at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Pallbearers will be Eric Heinen, William Heinen, Richard Heinen, Mark Millet, Dr. Chad Millet and Paul Leonards.
