Hodges, Schambaugh to wed during Nuptial Mass

Harold and Shirley Hodges of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Shawn Hodges and Jeremy Michael Schambaugh. The son of Michael and Rebecca Schambaugh of Eunice.

The couple is planning a 6:30 p.m. Nuptial Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley. Father Gary Schexnayder and Father Hampton Davis will officiate the December 19, services.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Theda Hodges Cahill of Abita Springs, formerly of Crowley, and the late Jack Raymond Hodges, Sr. and the late Walker and Lou Anna Ward.

She graduated from Iota High School in 2003 and received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Currently Heather is pursuing a masters degree in Speech Pathology at University of Louisiana at Lafayette as well as working as a graduate assistant in the Picard Center for Child Development at UL.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ruby Smith and the late Berkman Smith and Lawrence Schambaugh and the late Verdie Schambaugh all of Eunice.

He is a 2000 graduate of Eunice High School and received an associate degree in Computer Networking at T.H. Harris. He is currently employed at Louisiana State University at Eunice as an Instructional Technology Coordinator.
