The Home Land Civic and Social Organization holds installation of officers

The Home Land Civic and Social Organization held their installation of officers on Friday, January 20 at the Martin Luther King Center. Outgoing president of the club, Walter Andrus, recently passed leadership to incoming president, Milton Goodwin. Among those present were, front row from left, Goodwin; second row, Lou Grant, Sheral Garrick (assistant secretary), Priscilla Solomon (vice-president), Jeanette Shepherd (secretary), DeBira Broussard (chaplain) and Marie Breaux; third row, Andrus (outgoing president) and Clarence Woodard (treasurer). Not pictured were Michael Breaux (sergeant at arms), Howard Guillory (founder), Vernon “Step” Martin, Nancy Harris and Joyce Harris.
