Indian Bayou pupils to get H1Ni shots

Students attending Indian Bayou School will be given the H1N1 vaccination during a clinic to be held in theNorth Vermilion High School gym on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The vaccination clinic will be conducted after school hours to accommodate working parents. Clinic hours will be 3 to 6 p.m.

The vaccine will be free. Students in grades Pre-K through eighth grade must be accompanied by a parent. High school students may attend without a parent, but must provide a signed parental consent.

The Office of Public Health, along with the Vermilion Parish School Board, is offering the H1N1 flu vaccine. Parochial, private and home-schooled students are welcome to attend at any clinic site in the parish.

Parents and high school students must bring an updated immunization record.
