Jerrell Andrus Sr.
CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Israelite Baptist Church, 428 North Ave. C, at 11 a.m. for Jerrell Andrus Sr., 21, who was called home to glory on April 21, 2013 at Lafayette General Hospital.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at West Crowley Cemetery.
Jerrell accepted Christ at an early age. He was a loving person who was always smiling. He was often trying to make someone laugh by clowning around and telling jokes. Jerrell loved sports but basketball was his passion. He was a three year letterman at Crowley High School and received many awards including MVP All District, All Acadia Parish, All Acadian and First Team All State. Most of all Jerrell loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his parents, David Martin and Raymonda Collette Andrus; two sons, Jerrell Andrus Jr. and Jeryan Andrus; five daughters, Jermaine, Jaryiah, Jer`Mynee, Jernai and Jeryan Andrus; two sisters, JaQuetta Andrus and Derriana Windmon; five brothers, Jarai Andrus, Thaddeus Broussard, Tevin Ardoin, David Martin Jr. and Dylan Martin; one niece, Jayden Charles; two nephews, Tevin Ardoin Jr. and Braden Broussard; grandparents, Christabell Andrus, Raymond Bates (Diane) and Celestine Martin; great grandmother, Lillian Bates; and special mothers, Patrina Brailey and Faith Ann (Jerry) Murrell, all of Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, J.C. Martin and Murphy Bates; his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Andrus Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Harmon Sr.
