Jindal picks Joubert for tourism post
Former Eunice Mayor J. Curtis Joubert has been appointed to the La. Tourism Development Commission.
Gov. Bobby Jindal appointed Joubert, noted Chef Paul Prudhomme and four others to the panel last week.
The commission promotes tourism in Louisiana and has 21 members, 17 of whom are appointed by the governor.
As a legislator, then as mayor, then as private citizen, Joubert has been a booster of developing the Eunice area as a tourist attraction.
He has touted the area’s culture, music and food as invaluable and unique assets.
