Joseph Irby Comeaux
Crowley—A memorial service honoring the life of Joseph Irby Comeaux, 76, will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 3:30 PM in Forest Park Church of Christ in Crowley. Pastor Jason Corder will officiate. Inurnment of Mr. Comeaux’s cremated remains will follow in Acadia Resthaven Mausoleum in Crowley.
Mr. Comeaux passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in a Crowley hospital.
Mr. Comeaux was born in Church Point, and was a life-long resident of Acadia Parish. He retired from oilfield work as a crew leader, and had most recently been a resident of Camelot Nursing Home.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Cormier, Cindy Galley, and Linda Credeur and husband, Roy, all of Rayne; sons, James Bert Comeaux and wife, Terry of Rayne, Joseph Norbert Comeaux and wife, Gloria of Virginia, and Donald Ray Comeaux and wife, Hope of Morse. Mr. Comeaux was also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Proceeding Mr. Comeaux in death were his parents, Jule and Elena Thibodeaux Comeaux; sisters, Shirley Gridry, Enola Credeur, and Edola Smith; brother, J.B. Comeaux; nephews, Herman Guidry, Jr. and Donald Guidry; and great-grandchildren, Scotty Joseph Breaux, Mary Alice Credeur, and Gabriella Josephine Credeur.
