Judy Marie Thibodeaux
JENNINGS - A mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Judy Marie Thibodeaux, 60, will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 10 am with Father Donald Leger officiating. She passed away peacefully at her home Friday afternoon while surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Sunday, November 1st from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Monday, November 2nd at 8 a.m. until the time of her services. Mrs. Thibodeaux will be laid to rest in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery following her services.
Judy Marie was born in Jennings to the late Jules Gilbert & Mazie Blanchard Fontenot in the spring of 1949. She was a tax preparer. She enjoyed playing games like bingo and pokeno. She loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren brought her a great deal of joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her beloved husband and friend, Ronald James Thibodeaux, Sr. of Mermentau; one son, Ronald James Thibodeaux, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Kaplan; one daughter, Joni Thibodeaux of Mermentau; two sisters, Nancy F. Boullion of Lafayette and Loretta F. Richard of Orange, Texas; and her five beautiful grandchildren, Jason, Jasmine, & Jasper Thibodeaux, Rodney & Tia Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Gilbert & Mazie Blanchard Fontenot; one brother, Larry Fontenot; and one aunt, Abbie LeBlanc.
Carrying Mrs. Thibodeaux to her final resting place will be Ronald Thibodeaux, Jr., Jason Thibodeaux, Thomas Boullion, Wayne Landry, Stewart Trahan, & David Richard.
