June Young Boudreaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Crowley for June Young Boudreaux, 77, who died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 8:35 a.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Mrs. Boudreaux was a native of Eunice and longtime resident of Crowley. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, taught CCD for many years, and served the home bound as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a volunteer for Crowley Christian Care, she was a substitute teacher and volunteer at St. Michael’s Elementary, and belong to the Ladies Rosary Group.
Father Buddy Breaux and Father Gary Schexnayder will con-celebrate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A Rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. by Sister Justina Baker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Boudreaux is survived by four daughters, Gwendolyn A. Boudreaux, Carla M. Boudreaux, Carol L. Boudreaux, Christine B. Pousson and her husband Marty all of Baton Rouge; three sons, Richard B. Boudreaux and his wife Anna of Crowley; Michael G. Boudreaux of Crowley; Richard B. Boudreaux and his wife Madelene of Rayne; two sisters, Helen Ferro of Lafayette, Alice Otterstatter and her husband Bill of Lafayette; one brother, Harold Young and his wife Anita of St. Amant; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George “BooBoo” Boudreaux; her parents, Cleland and Celina Landry Young; great-granddaughter, Elle Boudreaux; two sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Boudreaux, Ross Boudreaux, Ben Boudreaux, Rob Mitchell, George Petitjean, Marty Pousson, Robert “Robbie” Barousse, and Richard Langlinais. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Young, John Otterstatter, and Bobby LeBourgeois.
The family wishes to thank, Dr. Kenneth Entes, Dr. Paul Stringfellow, the staff of the Rayne Guest Home, the staff of the Dialysis Center of Baton Rouge, and Hospice of Acadiana.
