Kelbaugh joins Chamber Board of Directors
CROWLEY – The Crowley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently welcomed a new member.
Keeffer Kelbaugh was appointed to serve for the remainder of the 2008-09 fiscal year. Upon her election to the post of Crowley City Judge, M’elise Trahan was forced to resign from the Chamber board. Having served on the board since 2007, M’elise was involved in planning and executing many events and initiatives throughout her tenure. She has always presented herself as a public servant and has worked to strengthen our community in many ways.
Through June of this year, Keeffer Kelbaugh will work with the Chamber board to continue its efforts to strengthen the business community. Kelbaugh is the owner Sterling Wellness Solutions, a business which he and his wife started seven years ago. Sterling Wellness administers employee wellness programs including screenings and consultations to assist businesses in reducing insurance costs and improving the health and well-being of their employees. In addition to their home office in Crowley, Sterling has a location in the Houma/Thibodeaux area. While his mother was originally from the Crowley area, Keeffer was raised in Thurmont, Maryland. After attending LSU, he moved to New Orleans. In 2004, Keeffer and his wife, Claire Mayeux, moved their business and their family to Crowley. They have two children, Andrus and Keeffer.
Sterling Wellness Solutions has been a member of the Chamber since 2007. Keeffer and Claire have attended numerous Business After Hours and Network @ Noon events and assisted with the Acadia Parish Health Fair. Keeffer is a past board member of the Abbey Players and a member of the Louisiana Business Group on Health, serving on the Wellness Committee. Sterling Wellness is also a member of Opelousas St. Landry Chamber of Commerce.
In accordance with the Chamber’s by-laws, his appointment to the board will end in June of this year. He will seek election, along with five others, to fill three vacant seats on the Chamber Board.
