Kinney, Istre to wed Aug. 17 in Mermentau

MERMENTAU - Jordan Nicole Kinney and Ricky Stevens Istre II, both of Mermentau, have announced their engagement and intention to be wed on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Darlene and James Beard and Billy Kinney, all of Sulphur. She is the granddaughter of Ann and Calbert Leger of Sulphur, and Deloris Shorten of Sulphur and the late Vernon Granger.

Jordan is a 2012 graduate of the Delta School of Business and Technology, where she earned a Dental Assistant Diploma.

The prospective groom is the son of Darla and Ricky Istre of Mermentau. He is the grandson of Betty and Melvin LeBlanc of Mermentau and the late Beatrice and Charles Istre.

Ricky graduated from Iota High School in 2007 and is currently employed at his parents’ restauraunt, C’est Bon, in Mermentau.

The couple will be wed during a 6 p.m. ceremony at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau. Father Neil McNeil will officiate the nuptials.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Mermentau.
