Kullen Trahan Sr.
CROWLEY — A Mass of Christian Burial for Kullen Trahan Sr., 68, of Crowley will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Father Jared Suire will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery in Lake Arthur.
Mr. Trahan passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8:40 a.m. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native of Lake Arthur, Mr. Trahan had lived in Crowley for over 42 years. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and he served his church and community as a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.
Mr. Trahan retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development after many years of service. He was a part-time employee of Stine Lumber Company in Crowley at the time of his death.
Survivors include his daughters, Buffina Crochet and husband, Marvin, of Hathaway, Marceta Faulk and husband, Jason, of Crowley, Pharabie Comeaux and husband, Bryan, of Crowley and Angelina Trahan of Gueydan; sons, Kullen Trahan Jr. and wife, Stephanie, of San Antonio, Texas and Nakia Trahan and wife, Amy, of Crowley; sisters, Nancy Trahan Lavergne of Lake Arthur and Aglia Trahan Daigle of Lake Charles; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Grace Trahan of Lake Arthur and Lerlin Trahan of Lake Arthur; 16 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Proceeding Mr. Trahan in death were his wife of 42 years, Pamela Boullion Trahan; brothers, Albert and Neelis Trahan; and sisters, Lavina Trahan Comeaux, Zora Trahan Istre and Mary Trahan Prejean.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. in Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
